A fine, specially-brewed strong ale which finishes fermenting in the bottle. In the words of our head brewer – a combination of flavour and character that’s as rare as a “Hen’s Tooth”

So, posting a link to this site isn’t appropriate here because “Hen’s Tooth” is a euphemism. Technically, it’s correct, but it certainly makes you think for a second. As a grammar nazi, I frickin’ love it. I could laugh stupid Americans for “hours” on that site. So what does that mean? Would I get tired of reading it after only 119 minutes? Who knows?

A little bit on Strong Ale from Beer Advocate:

They usually have a bold fruity, estery and malty mix. Hops can vary from mild bitterness to a full blown hop character with a bold hop flavor and aroma. The alcohol can be quite noticeable, a hint of solvent is possible.

I don’t know if they’re saying that they commonly have flaws or if it’s a characteristic of the style. Is this a strong ale or a pale ale, or a strong pale ale? What’s a Pale Lager? One of those is being profiled tomorrow. There are so many styles of beer out there! I just talked to my friend Daniel Delaney and he told me that my videos needed more informational content for me to grab a hold of viewers in the long term. I totally agree.

What other stuff would you like to see in the videos? How can I make my delivery more fun and attractive to new viewers? Best comment gets a bottle of Avery Salvation!
