This was the final beer of my last two-week shoot, so in the video, Tom and I are not overly sauced, but we’re good and saucy. We saved this one for last because it was Tom’s favorite walking in.
I gotta tell ya, this isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I have about 150 lbs of beer and gear walking to each one of these shoots and it’s going to get heavier when I get my new lighting setup. I bought one of those wire strollers that old Asian ladies carry their food around in and I feel really sexy bringing that around. Unfortunately, the one I bought is too small for anything but a case of beer. Poor planning, so I am going to have to buy a larger, more diesel old Asian lady food carrying stroller for my schtuff.
Then I get to the locations and I haven’t purchased a frickin’ extension cord. Leave it to me to not buy something that costs $5 and saves me 20 minutes/gives me much better lighting each time I shoot. I mean, the lighting looks good here, but really, it was quite a production setting everything up. You’re going to like the lighting at Rattle ‘N Hum a lot better. I also don’t have three-point lighting, nor do I have the skillz to cut shadows very well, so you’re basically watching a video experiment each week as I learn and get better at this video production thing. Some day, I’ll just get a loft in Brooklyn and a van and look back at this BS and laugh. Right now, the videos are as professional as I can afford.
I can’t get a van… I’d have to be sober to drive it. This isn’t going to work.
