The Blue Fin Stout pours straight black. One part of this footage that didn’t make it to the final edit was Sam talking about how Guinness is a deep, dark red when held up to the light. The Blue Fin stout is opaque and it’s black. It’s definitely got some big smoke in it. It’s the second beer that I’ve called a gateway rauchbier, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they actually used smoked malt in this recipe.
A total breakfast beerr: rich and hearty. Bacon, while pretty awesome with just about everything, would pair especially well with the Blue Fin Stout.
