The Humboldt Brown Ale from Firestone Walker (or Nectar Ales, whichever you prefer) used to be called the Hemp Ale. Regardless, it’s a beer that’s made with hemp, and the oils in the plant bring out some resiny characteristics (as one might assume).

Appearance: Guess what? It’s brown, tan head
Smell: Tad bit of smoke, sweetness
Taste: Roasty chocolate sweetness
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, medium carbonation
Drinkability: No lingering driness/sweetness makes it easy to pick up another immediately
